In March of 2013, I found myself a working mom of Braydon, my handsome 7 year old boy and Layla, my sweet and stylish 5 month old girl. And pregnant! Another girl! (Yes!)With my two girls set to be only 13 months apart, my husband and I sat down and decided that it was best for me to leave my current job and start a new adventure- becoming a stay at home mom!
I have always loved everything about being a girl- pink, ruffles, pearls, polish and all things in between. Having two tiny ladies in my home sparked a new love of all things pretty, and at the same time fueled my entrepreneurial spirit, and the dream of owning my own business.The things that I loved and looked to buy for my girls were hard to find, too expensive or non-existent. What was a mama to do? From this dilemma, Pearls & Piggytails was born! I had the most fun creating a place where moms like me could find unique, fun and practical boutique items at an affordable price.
In the last year and a half, our family owned business has grown beyond anything I could have ever imagined, and I am truly living my dream. I am surrounded by lace and bows all day long, and I am able to stay at home with my three amazing children. I am able to be there for their milestones, go to baseball games, and be front and center for all temper tantrums!
It is not an easy job, but it is incredibly rewarding. Receiving letters and pictures from other moms makes the sacrifice of nap time and the hustle to the post office worthwhile! Moms are loving our products, and we love them for that!
Currently, Pearls and Piggytails is sold exclusively online. We have big dreams of a store front and an expansion of our line. For now, it's one step at a time! (Literally! Sweet Sadie is still working on it!) We are excited and expectant to see where Pearls and Piggytails will take our family in the years to come, because it has been so good to us so far! The future is Pink!
